In Australia the cats announced the “curfew”

According to the authorities, the measure proposed in an attempt to protect many species of local fauna which are threatened with extinction.

Cats were brought to Australia about 200 years ago by European settlers, and has since spread across the continent and New Zealand. According to some data from more than 20 million cats.

Australia has already disappeared 29 species of rare animals. But endangered much more impressive list in 1800 species.

In addition, the Australian Government has proposed to declare the hunt for stray cats, planning to exterminate up to two million individuals. The proposal was condemned by animal rights activists. Last week, French actress Brigitte Bardot has threatened that in case of approval of hunting cats country proves to be “stained with the blood of millions of innocent animals”.
